I have been trying to complete my mission of collecting the entire Derby County squad before the end of the season...

After hanging out around the players entrance at the iPro stadium every week I actually managed to work up the nerve to get a few players autographs.

I really wanted to try and get all the 1st team and as much of the rest of them as possible but with only 2 more home games I doubt that is going to happen. Damn these anxiety issues that stop me doing the simplest things.

Anyhow Very happy with what I have so far...

Robert Englund

Robert Englund is most known to all as Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street Movies. The first Horror film I ever watched and I became hooked!

I don't know why it took me so long to write to Robert for his autograph. He's been such a hero of mine for so long.

I sent 2 copies of the photo and asked him to sign one to my sister. She isn't a big fan but it is a bit of a family joke so I was over the moon when he did return the other photo for my sis. I can't say she was happy LOL!!

I wrote to Robert in October and got the return on 10th January.

Henry Winkler

I don't think there is anyone in the world that isn't a fan of Henry Winkler! People of my age will remember him most fondly as The Fonz in Happy Days. He has done hundreds of films and other TV roles since then and has most recently featured as Dr Saperstein in Parks & Recreation and my daughter's favourite, Eddie R Lawson in Royal Pains.

I knew that Henry was a prolific signer through the Mail but I left it so long as usually I am the one that slips through the net.

I sent 2 photos to Henry back in November. He dated the photos when he signed on 28/12/14 and I received them back on 08/01/15 Great turn around time.

Arthur Darvill

Arthur Darvill is most known to everyone as Rory in the Matt Smith reign as Doctor Who.
Since Dr Who Arthur went on to star in Broadchurch as Rev Paul Coates.

Arthur is a tricky one to get as it took 3 years to receive this success. He must have been really busy or he is a great procrastinator like me lol.

Aidan Turner

Aidan Turner is best known to most from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. To me he will always be Mitchell from Being Human.

I can't even remember when I wrote to Aiden as I don't seem to have recorded the sending date. I did send to his Irish address though and I attached stamps of Eire.

Jamie Ward

Jamie Ward is one of my favourite players for Derby County Football club (The Rams).
Ultimately I would like to be standing at the players entrance after the game on a Saturday afternoon to get the autographs of all the Rams players in Person. However my working hours don't allow me to do that, This is the reason I have been writing to each of the players to get their autographs thru the mail.

I wrote to Jamie at the beginning of October. It wasn't the best timing as Jmie was just about to go off on International duty with Northern Ireland. With that in mind the 20 day turn around was good as he was away for 2 weeks,

Leighton Meester

Leighton is most known for her role as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl. I have attempted to write to her several times over the years to various different addresses including through the GG production address. I never got any success from those attempts. I had all but given up.

Leighton is currently performing on Broadway in Of Mice and Men as Curley's wife. I decided to try one more time and write to her care of the theatre (Via Venue)

I was ecstatic when postie called yesterday with finally a success from one of my favourite actresses!!

I The turnaround was just 2 months which is a great time really to the states and back.

Derby County are about to embark on their play-off journey 2014 so the fact that Chris signed my photos and replied by return is both excellent and exciting news!! He is my No.1 Favourite Rams player and this season's Top goal scorer. Lets hope that he can increase his tally in the coming 2 (Hopefully 3) games and we can celebrate Top flight Football for 2014/2015.

I know I could just have easily gone down to Pride Park and got the photos signed In Person but for me it's the personalisation that matters and you don't get that when jostling with hundreds of others at the players' Entrance :)

Mark Gatiss

I first knew of Mark when I became a big fan of the League of Gentlemen. It is my goal to collect the autographs of all 4 members of the team. I watched All 3 seasons of LOG in a week on DVD from Lovefilm.

If you look at IMDB it is actually amazing at how much Mark has done. Of course at the moment he is known mostly for his involvement with writing Doctor Who and of course Sherlock

I wrote to Mark 2 years ago and had just about given up on ever receiving a reply so it just goes to show that you should never give up waiting!

John Bishop

John Bishop is a very funny Stand-up comedian from Liverpool.
John does a lot for charity too, having made major sporting achievements for Sport Relief and Comic Relief.
John is such a busy guy these days. He has a show on Sky Only Joking. Also a show on the BBC John Bishop's Britain. He is a regular panelist on the Sky show - A League Of Their Own. He also tours regularly having now reached the heady heights of major UK stadiums.

I wrote to John at the end of May and it took about a month for a reply. John signed all the photos I sent him which was great.

Andrew Lee Potts

This is a special one.
I have written to Andrew but that was over a year ago and I never received a reply.

This wonderful signed photo was collected for me by the partner of a very good friend who was working at a convention earlier this year.
It was a very tough time for me and this made me very happy :)

It's fabulous when you get a nice little surprise in the post.

I wrote to Aaron 4 years ago just before the first Kick Ass movie came out.

Today I received a hand written envelope which If I'm honest looked like my Grandma's handwriting so straight away I was curious as to who was writing to me.

Damian Lewis

I have liked Damian since He played Benedick in the BBC Shakespeare re-told version on Much ado about Nothing. Since then I have seen him in a lot of stuff.
He played Charlie Crews in Life. Unfortunately that got cancelled after the 2nd season. He played Soames Forsyte in the Forsyte Saga. And Major Winters in Band of Brothers.

I guess he is more recently known for playing Sgt. Nick Brody in the Award winning show Homelend.

He has also played football for England in many Celebrity Charity games.

Unfortunately I do not know when I wrote to Damian. I lost a lot of data on my hard drive. So I can't say how long it took. I don't have the address I wrote to him with either :(

Russell Tovey

WOW! that was a long wait!

I can't remember where I first saw Russell. He has been in History boys, Gavin & Stacey, Doctor Who, Him & Her and Being Human.
I love Russell as George in Being Human. I wrote the letter to him when I first heard he was leaving the show. It's one of the greatest UK shows to be made in recent years I am sad that it has now ended :(
I wrote to Russel on 15th November 2011 and received this reply on November 1st 2012. That's almost a year LOL! I am happy to have a result though, However long I have to wait.

Elizabeth Hurley

Elizabeth Hurley started as a Model in the early 90's. 

She was known for a long while as Hugh Grant's girlfriend and was famous for wearing a particular dress with safety pins up the side.
Elizabeth has made a few movies through the past 20 years and She has her own Beachwear line called Elizabeth Hurley Beach.

Elizabeth was most recently cast as Diana Payne in US show Gossip Girl.

I wrote to Elizabeth in August and received a reply yesterday I am very happy with the result. I sent 3 photos to be signed and she signed all 3 for me.

Ed Westwick

This is what I'm calling a Half Success!

If you didn't already know, Ed plays Chuck Bass in CWs Gossip Girl. Although I am not a fan of the character, I do love Ed as an actor.
He has also been in Chalet Girl, Son of Rambow, S.Darko, Children of Men, J Edgar, 100 Feet and has just finished playing Tybalt in the new movie adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
I wrote to Ed back in May to his London agent as I knew he was in the country then but unfortunately it didn't get to him in time. So his agent sent back my letter and the photos I sent and sent me this pre-signed photo.
No worries though I will just send it on to him c/o the Gossip Girl address as many people seem to get results from that.
